Making the Most of Their Time in Brussels

This summer, ETI Holding's group of talented and motivated students accompanied by our experienced teacher and group leader Ms Tea Mdinaradze, are participating in the renowned Intercamps Summer School in Brussels, Belgium. The trip provides a remarkable opportunity for our students to not only enhance their English-speaking fluency but also immerse themselves in the rich culture and history of Brussels. Over the course of their stay, they are experiencing an educational adventure that combined language development, cultural exploration, and fun-filled activities, making it an unforgettable summer for all involved.

In addition to the language lessons, the students have the chance to explore the beautiful city of Brussels and discover its rich cultural heritage. As the capital of Belgium and the heart of the European Union, Brussels offeres a unique blend of history, politics, and modernity that provides a fascinating backdrop for the students’ educational journey.

Aside from the educational visits and tours, the students also have the opportunity to explore the sights and sounds of Brussels during their free time. They visited iconic landmarks such as the Grand Place, one of the most beautiful squares in Europe, and the Atomium, a symbol of Belgium’s post-war optimism and vision for the future.

The students enjoyed the excitement of Mini Europe, a unique theme park that showcases miniature replicas of Europe’s most famous landmarks. From the Eiffel Tower in Paris to the Colosseum in Rome, the students had the chance to marvel at the intricate details of these famous monuments, all in one place. The park provided a fun and educational way to learn about the diversity of Europe’s cultural and architectural heritage, as well as European history and geography in a hands-on way. The park’s unique combination of fun and learning made it a memorable experience for all involved.

Brussels Comics Tour

Brussels is famous for its vibrant comic book culture, and our students had the chance to discover this aspect of the city through a unique comics tour. Brussels is home to some of the world’s most famous comic characters, including Tintin and the Smurfs, and the city is dotted with beautiful murals and street art dedicated to these beloved characters. The students explored the streets of Brussels, learning about the history of Belgian comics and how they have shaped the country’s cultural identity.

The tour was not only fun and visually captivating but also an educational experience. Students discovered how comic books are an important form of storytelling in Belgium, reflecting the country’s history, politics, and society. The colorful murals and comic book storefronts added a whimsical and artistic touch to their exploration of the city.

By participating in group activities, cultural exchanges, and excursions, the students learned to appreciate different cultures, perspectives, and traditions. This experience broadened their horizons and helped them develop a deeper understanding of the world around them.
